When a concentrate ‘sugars up’ it means that the terpenes are escaping the concentrate, be it shatter, live resin, or most concentrates, causing it to turn into a more waxlike, sugary texture. Some people enjoy this more but it typically means your dabs have less flavour than before they sugared up, and is an indicator of age.

Some concentrates are made to initially be sugary however, so don’t take a sugary looking product as a bad one out of the book, this term is more related to the change in your own personal use product over time.
